SAFETY

You can rest assured that VIBE are fully covered against public liability but there are some essential safety rules that still apply..

The area in and around the DJ Booth is a dangerous place with trailing cables, heavy equipment on stands and scolding hot lamps. It is the clients and parents entire responsibility to make sure children do not come near our equipment. We don’t like having to get on the mic to get parents to control their children but we will stop the show the first moment any of Vibes equipment, guests or employees are thought to be unsafe and will not continue until full safety is restored.

If we are performing on a stage we ask that the host supports us with not allowing anyone else on the stage area unless pre arranged.

Please tell us in advance if any guests may be susceptible to stroboscopic lights. We assume unless notified that they are safe to use.

Alcohol does not always agree with everyone. We do not stand for rude, abusive or threatening behaviour from anyone and will not work in a hostile environment.

PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

Sometimes due to technical difficulties, we may not be able to offer the same lighting, sound specification etc as pre arranged. In this case we will always try to replace with equipment of an equal or higher performance. If this is not possible we will reduce the value of the remaining balance accordingly.

THE VENUE

Our commitment is to you and your guests to make sure the event goes smoothly. As part of that service we try where we can to liaise with the venue owners in advance. Sometimes a venue will request that music is turned down, cables are not run from A to B and haze/smoke machines are not used. VIBE has to respect the wishes of the venue and ultimately can only work within the parameters they set.

Whilst we make every effort to ensure mains fuses do not trip out and fire alarms do not go off, we accept no liability for temporary disruptions.

MUSIC REQUESTS

We ask for a short song list of approx 5-10 songs that encapsulate the general VIBE you want at your party. We use these tunes as a foundation for the event and dig into our own comprehensive library to continue the theme. 

If you have a more comprehensive song list and we do not have a large portion of the requested music in our library, we do budget for some new songs but it is generally best to provide the music well in advance on CD. Remember by providing a strict song list the true potential of the event can sometimes be compromised.

We like to receive requests on the night from guests but please let us know if you would prefer us not to. We are not always able to play every song that’s asked for and the requests will not always be played instantly.

CANCELLATION

If you would like to cancel a booking the first £50 payment already made is non refundable. You may however transfer a deposit towards a future booking providing the date is available.

We pride ourselves on our reliability but sometimes due to emergency or ill health we may have to cancel an event at very short notice. We promise to give as much notice as reasonably possible in order to find another DJ and will actively seek out a replacement by liaising with other DJ companies to make sure you are not completely disappointed. In the event of VIBE cancellation we will refund the deposit plus a further £10 as a gesture of goodwill. We do not accept any liability if the event does not go ahead as a result of cancellation from us.

PAYMENT

Payment can be made by Cheque, Cash or Credit/Debit card. A non refundable deposit of £50 is required to secure any booking and a date cannot be reserved without one.

Full payment must be made before we leave the venue at the end of the evening. The remaining balance is non negotiable. Cheques are accepted as a deposit but not as final payment on the night unless otherwise arranged.
